Dr. Lolly Guerra is TASPA's newest team member and started working March 1 as the new Program Director.  She comes to TASPA with 41 years’ experience in education, 40 of those in San Marcos CISD. She started out as an elementary bilingual teacher, then went on to serve as bilingual program coordinator, assistant principal, principal for 17 years, and then Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources for the last 13 years in public education.

Dr. Guerra's thoughts on the Biggest Challenges facing HR Administrators and TASPA members today

 

  • Attracting and recruiting professionals in light of the looming teacher shortage.
  • Remaining competitive with salaries and benefits in tight budget environments.
  • Leadership development—attracting and growing future leaders.
  • Staying abreast of rapidly changing technology in HR offices.

Her Goals for 2016

  • Working to ensure that TASPA continues to provide high quality support and professional development to all its members.
  • To continue to grow the organization's membership.
