This workshop is a comprehensive introduction and a critical update for new and experienced school personnel on the essentials of educator certification in Texas. 

TASPA staff Jeannie Tomasek and Kathy Cervantez will begin with defining certification categories and work through classes of certificates, permits and assignment criteria for general, specialized and CTE teachers. 

TAC rule changes/updates related to bills passed in recent legislative sessions will be addressed throughout the presentation.  This interactive session will conclude with a discussion period for sharing questions, concerns and solutions with each other.

Participants will 5/Non-Memberhave the opportunity to engage in activities to apply their knowledge to actual hiring scenarios.
