Half-Day Personnel Law Conference with Schwartz and Eichelbaum, P.C. a Resounding Success!
As a new offering this year, TASPA presented a special half-day personnel law conference in conjunction with Schwartz and Eichelbaum, P.C.: “Swashbuckling Through Personnel Legal Issues,” on Wednesday, July 12, in advance of the TASPA Summer Conference. This new event was attended by 150 participants, and included a series of topics selected based on member requests to a TASPA online survey. Topics included “Dealing with Scurvy and Saving Your Booty: The Dangers that Lie Within Emails and the Texas Public Information Act”, “Preparing Your Treasure Map to Successful Litigation: Advanced Documentation”, and “From Recruiting the Crew to Walking the Plank: Defensive Hiring and Firing of At-Will Employees”, among others. “Thirty Pieces of Gold: A Treasure Trove of Best Practices” was particularly well received, as it addressed a series of questions submitted by TASPA members in the planning stages of the conference.
Attendees appreciated not only the depth of knowledge of the presenters but also their humor and skill in conveying the information. TASPA will be planning next year’s Half-day Personnel Law Summer Conference soon, so please stay tuned for an email request for topics to be presented.
