I am thoroughly enjoying my opportunity to serve as the President of TASPA.  It is truly an honor to work with such an outstanding group of professionals.  Our team is working very hard and continuing the good work of TASPA.

Our focus for the first five months was on the legislative session.  Dr. Alejandra Martin, our executive director, worked miracles in this arena and deserves kudos for her work.  Alex spent many days and nights at the Capitol monitoring the “action”, and she will share a complete legislative analysis within the next few weeks.

As you know, TASPA has a very comprehensive strategic plan, and we are continuing to focus on implementation of the plan.  Your feedback on the membership survey provided clear direction for our implementation of the plan.  Your district representative will share more concrete information with you during the District meetings at the July conference.  The plan is on the website at http://taspa.org/newsletter/TASPA_Strategic_Plan.pdf. I encourage you to review it and to share your feedback with your district representative.

My commitment to you is that I will continue to carry out the work of TASPA with integrity and passion, but I do need your assistance.  Please be involved!  Do not hesitate to contact me with your feedback, concerns, and advice.  My contact information is on the website, and I do want to hear from you.
