Dear TASPA members,
Earlier today you should have received the email below from SBEC/TEA
staff member Jeannie Tomasek (Jeannie.Tomasek@sbec.state.tx.us
) regarding procedures for complying with the fingerprinting bill, SB
09. If you did NOT receive the email copied below, please add
Jeannie's email above to your white-list, and check your SPAM box in
case it was sent there in error.
Note that the email has specific time-sensitive actions you need to
take:

the name, phone number and email address of your SB 09 ISD
communications designee to
SB9@tea.state.tx.us

SBEC has also requested that we post the past email correspondence
to ISDs regarding SB 09 on our website to increase visibility of the
information:

message (word document) stating that "because the criminal
history review fees for non-certified employees must be distributed
to several different agencies, they must be processed through Texas

with a credit card at the time of scheduling." The
notice includes a recommended process whereby an ISD can pay for
these using a credit card.

If you have not yet
designated a contact person for your district,
please designate a contact person to correspond with
