Who Should Attend:  Personnel secretaries, certification clerks, benefits specialists, principals, HR directors, other HR staff and interested individuals. The conference starts Sunday afternoon, September 21, and runs all day Monday, September 22, at the Austin Doubletree Hotel.
The program begins Sunday at 1:00 pm for the certification workshop (no extra charge) and at 5:00 pm for all others (job- alike networking sessions), and ends at 4:00 pm on Monday.

The fee for the workshop is $150 until September 14 and includes the Sunday night dinner as well as a continental breakfast and luncheon on Monday. The registration fee after September 14 will be $170. Room reservations should be made with the Austin Doubletree Hotel by calling (512) 454.3737 and asking for the TASPA rate.

Intensive Certification Workshop description:

This four-hour workshop  will focus on assignment rules for educators from both an SBEC and NCLB standpoint, and will cover common scenarios where assignment questions often arise. Topics covered will include changes to the assignment criteria, HOUSE and the difference between points and hours, as well as other questions submitted by past attendees.
